The struggle for freedom and control in cyberspace

Are we headed headed for a "Magna Carta" moment when citizens around the world demand that their governments protect free speech and their right to connection?

Corporations edit and censor content to win contracts with governments.  Does that meet or fail the good democracy test? 

Then governments use fiance to bust groups or organizations with out any lawful reasons - Wiki Leaks is a good example.
